Medical Lab Technology (MLT)
Medical Lab Technology (MLT) examines and analyzes body fluids, tissues, blood type, microorganisms, screening, chemical analyses, cell council etc. of the human body. Courses offered and can be pursued at different levels such as diploma, PG Diploma, Bachelors, Post-Graduation, and at certificate level. Medical laboratory technologists are essential to the healthcare system. Without them, doctors would not be able to diagnose diseases or provide effective treatment.
Operation Theatre Technology
It is designed to build a trained and qualified professional who will assist medical professional in the operation theatre of hospitals, intensive care units as well as emergency departments. Operation Theatre Technology is a detailed technical occupation in the field of health science. an operation theatre (OT) technologist forms an integral part of the operation theatre in any hospital and facilitates the surgical procedures, by preparing in the equipment that are necessary for any surgical procedures.
Diploma in X-Ray Technology
This course covers the essentials of theoretical studies and clinical practice needed to become a X-Ray technician capable to perform X-Rays diagnostic imaging examination. X-ray solutions come in different kinds and can serve a plethora of purposes. Besides, enabling the accurate assessment of internal body conditions, X-rays help in the detection of distinct anomalies that are not visible to the naked eye.
Medical Imaging Technology
Medical imaging allows doctors to better assess patients’ bones, organs, tissue and blood vessels through non-invasive means. The procedures help determine whether surgery would be an effective treatment option; locate tumors for treatment and removal; find blood clots or other blockages; direct doctors dealing with joint replacements or the treatment of fractures; and assist other procedures involving the placement of devices — such as stents or catheters — inside the body.
Diploma in ECG Technician
ECG technician uses electrocardiogram machines to run to measure patients’ heart rate and more. Electrocardiogram technicians take the monitor to a scanner, where they can print out the data recorded by the machine. They perform ECG by attaching electrodes to a patient and pressing a switch to track the electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. Doctors then check the readings to analyse the patient’s heart condition and carry out a stress test.
Lab Assistant
Lab assistants are responsible for helping technologists and scientists during lab tests and research. These highly-analytical professionals’ possess in-depth knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and equipment. Their duties include processing samples, classifying results, and recording findings.
